PARENT WORKSHOPS |
Of all the life lessons we learn as parents to pass on to our children, the issue of standing up to a bully can be the most difficult to teach them. A lot of times parents are left with a sense of helplessness because we don’t feel the schools have done enough to keep our children safe, especially when you have been reassured, “We have a zero-tolerance policy for things like this.” In the meantime you watch your child become distraught, withdrawn, losing his appetite (or drastically increasing it), becoming sleep deprived, feeling “too sick” to go to school (when they don’t have a temperature), becoming aggressive, etc. Susan’s workshop for parents will empower you to help your child, constructively approach educators that may not be approachable and work effectively with the schools.

Thought to Ponder: 160,000 students stay home from school each day because of a bully.
